Some site notes from Sir Mathe:
SUNSCREEN, SUNSCREEN, SUNSCREEN –From sunrise to about 5:00pm the campsite will be pretty much in full sun, with a few small areas of shade that is big enough to sit about 6 people. Bring Portable Shade tents if you got `em. Perhaps several of us that have them can put them together so that there are some larger communal areas for sitting and trying to beat the heat.

There are 2 water spigots in the campsite. And 4 small concrete slab
fire pits. Fires are allowed on the slabs.

The campsite and surrounding area are very well maintained green grassy areas so walking around barefooted is not a problem.

The Park Host has a machine with both crushed and Block Ice for sale at about $1.50 a bag. They also have firewood bundles at $4.00.

There is a designated swimming area way on the other side of the park, however…there is a `Non-Official' swimming area that is very close by. You have to walk out into the water about 100 yards before it gets deeper than chest high, but it is a very nice way to cool down. Bring some Flip Flops or Water shoes or something as it is a bit rocky in places.

The Bathrooms are fairly close, Flushies, and have free showers.

Friday night, starting at Dusk, the Day use area nearby will be showing the movie "The Benchwarmers" free of charge. Bring your lawn chair and blanket.

As with most summer events, please bring a Water Bottle for the Water Bearer during combat, Gatorade or similar drink, and any refreshing food such as Grapes, Bananas, Mellons, Sera's Mustard etc.
