Nomad's challenge will be a series of tests.

Autocrat Lord Mizak Perado

Directions:

Make your best way to Kelowna. Turn off Hwy 97 onto Hwy 33 (from Vernon, turn left, from Penticton, turn right). From the last set of lights in Rutland (Molnar Rd I believe), set your odometer to zero.

You will continue on Hwy 33 for 33kms (20.5mi) where you will reach the Idabel Lake turnoff [McCullough Road](which is 5km/3.1mi PAST the Big White turnoff). Turn Right at that turnoff. Signage is very clearly marked for Idabel. (If coming North on Hwy 33, you'll drive through Beaverdell and continue approx 18km/11.2mi north, until turning left onto the Idabel Lake turnoff [McCullough Road])

This dirt road is fairly smooth, but has many potholes. You'll stay on this road for 5km/3.1mi (you'll cross an intersection, drive past a sign saying "Camp Host", a new resort being built, and a X country ski area), until you see an orange steel gate (with "No Parking" painted in white letters on gate) on the left. Turn left here. Adria
sign will (hopefully) be posted nearby.

**EDIT** At this point, you'll have to stop at the gate. Get out at the gate, and on the back of it, will be a two-way radio taped onto the gate itself. Turn on the radio, and call on it (press and hold the button on the side, talk, then release... for those of you who aren't electronically inclined). Mizak will come out to meet you
and let you into the gate. The gate has to be kept locked, as this is the district irrigation access road, unfortunately. **END EDIT**

Follow this road for 100m/109yd, until reaching a lake, and several options for roads to follow. Straight ahead is another orange gate (ahead and to the right), which restricts access to an irrigation pumphouse and elevated access road, and another orange gate on the other side of the elevated road. Beside this access road, there is another rockier road that runs parallel to it, in a downward
direction. Take this road. (Adria sign posted) (There is a third road on the right, that doubles back towards the direction you came from... Do NOT take the third road.)

**NOTE** This is where driving begins to get rocky. Clearance MAY be an issue for smaller, low clearance vehicles. I estimate the most amount of clearance required is approx 8 inches in one or two spots.
However, most large rocks on the road can be driven around. Drive SLOW.

The correct road will almost immediately drive over a runoff stream, then begin uphill once again. Stay on this roadway for 0.4km/.25mi until reaching a cattleguard/texas gate. Go over cattleguard, and in 100m/109yd, turn left down the little donkey path. (Adria sign posted)

Continue on this roadway for 0.6km/0.37mi until reaching another gate, similar to the others (except yellow, not orange). Go through gate, and you'll see the cabins directly ahead.

Parking follows the path heading up and to the right. Camping in trailers should stay up here. Tents, due to lack of any further parking area, should set up near the bottom of the site, closer to the lake.

***********************

The site is rustic. We have the use of two cabins. The main cabin has a propane oven with 4 ranges. We just need to bring our own propane (please contact Mizak if you're able to bring some). Dishes and cutlery are also there for our use, however bring your own if you wish. There is no clean drinking water on site (bring your own drinking water), however water is available for cleaning, dishes, etc. Firewood is also available for our use. No need to bring any.

There are two outhouses on site, but we need to bring a few rolls of tp to ensure we don't run out. There's also the lake to go swimming in, or fishing if you wish (GREAT fishin' here!!). Bring any and all applicable gear for said activities if you have it.

Site fee $10/head (children younger than 10 free) total for the weekend.

There will be target archery, shinai training and tourney,
(hopefully) a class on tying / stringing the shinai, rapier training and tourney, and anything else people are interested in teaching (Please contact Mizak).

**EDIT**This is a "bring your own food" event. However, there will be a feast on Saturday evening, so bring something tasty to feed approx 12-15 people.**END EDIT**
