Urar Tiene
Spokane, WA
Lord Conri O'Cairmhaic
Within the borders of Alhambra, the Canton of Guent was the origional name for the region encompassing Spokane County, WA. A few years ago we got rid of the Canton and The Barony of Beann Abhain was formed. The Barony assumed Guent's heraldry, and as the largest Estate in the area, it became the usual host of events in the region.
As our Duchy grew and more Cantons have been added, we realized the Barony (a voting Estate) had been functioning as a Canton (administrative in nature). So it was decided to create a new Canton for the region and let the Barony return to it's original purpose. Our members have rallied around and determined new heraldry (in process) using a phoenix and chose the name Ùrar Tiene - pronounced "Oor-ar Ten", which is "Bright Flame" in Gaelic.
Tournaments are held the second Saturday of each month at various locations. See the Event Calendar on the home page (click on the red and white shield above) for additional info. A list of current Ministers for the Canton can be found in the files section.
Combat practices details are listed in the Information Scrolls menu under Practices.
Canton meetings are held monthly are are listed in the event calendar.
Non-members are welcome to attend any of our events, practices or meetings. We are always accepting new members of Adria in our Duchy/Canton as well.
