Born of gypsy birthright in the lowland regions of Croatia, both parents living downtrodden lives, his early upbringing was anything but pleasant. Ottoman landlords forcing his Slavic family deeper and deeper into poverty, governments stepping his family name into nothingness, he made his mind up at a young age to not bear witness to the moral and literal crimes taken against his parents and other members of his family. This wanderer of the outlands stayed true to his stereotypical expectations for the majority of his life, until recent years.

Having grown tired of watching his parents accept their poor, if not often cruel treatment, by a society that no longer accepted their kind, he soon set out after his first decade of birth, and travelled the inner-most regions of eastern Europe, and the middle east, even as a young boy. Working his way to the outskirts of the far east, he kept himself fed by working as a page, stablehand, or pickpocket. Gradually, he moved further towards the western borders of the Orient insearch of its mysteries. Mizak sought knowledge, and with that knowledge, power.

Throughout his travels over the next 20 years, he earned his keep by way of hired hand on small jobs, or "acquiring" items of value for paid clients. This quickly earned him a reputation of one to speak with to "get you what you need". Little came about that he could not acquire, and so became the beginning of his legacy.

He returned to his Slavic homeland by way of the southern Caspian-Volga region, living for half a decade on the land, learning the ways of the peoples who inhabited those lands as well.

The harsh lifestyle he'd grown accustomed to in his travels, mixed with the learning and knowledge he'd gained over his nearly two decades of self-imposed exile and self discovery, fuelled a fire deep within his soul. This fire burned slowly at first, but quickly turned itself into a raging inferno.

He moved to Italy at the turn of the 16th century, right at the beginning of the Spanish-French battle for Italian lands. As he was a commoner in title, and owned no land, he kept a low profile, which in turn only assisted to increase his overall wealth through stealth and cunning.

Through the assistance of newfound acquaintances, Mizak soon found himself working with a medium sized band of enforcers, working for a local estate owner, as a collector of debts, and protection of the commoners living in the region. In this fashion, he earned a comfortable living, but saw much more potential in it, higher up the "corporate ladder" so to speak.

With this in mind, and a fire burning in his soul that screamed for more, he soon climbed in the ranks, through guile and brute force, to become one of the Gabelloti's few trusted men in only a few short years. Now in his early thirties, he worked closely in 'the business', and continued to serve directly to the local landlords until finally an opportunity presented itself.

His boss called for him, and spoke of new lands opening up, ripe for the influence of he and his abilities. He would have to work slowly, earning the respect and trust of the local crown and it's people, but the Archduchy of Alhambra was open for a local businessman of his calibre. And with that, he took but a handful of his trusted people with him, and set forth.

After a short while of travelling, he and his companions set themselves into the outskirts of the small town of Silvervale, nestled in the mountainous ranges of the western New World... the lands he would soon call home.
