Crown War
Robinson Lake Park in Moscow ID
DATE IS SET*****
July 14 - 15 2007.
His Royal Grace, Capitaine E'Xavier de Normandie, invites all members of the Glorious Archduchy of Alhambra to attend the Crown War. This will be a point bearing war. Robinson Park turn right at the park area, drive past the park house and look for a small driveway on your left hand side with a little sign for Adria or Alhambra. You will make a 90 degree turn and follow a dirt road about 300 yards then it will dump you into a gravel parking lot with a covered picnic table area. There is potable water on site, built in porta potties, no showers, and no stores. The closest stores are about 7-8 miles away in Moscow, Idaho.
As part of the war there will be an in depth marshalling workshop before combat. ALL combatants wishing to take the field this day MUST take part in the class. Here are the basic details for Crown War. Basically the same as my first Crown War. It is at Robinson Park, on the side with the covered picnic tables. Friday is setup and hang out, Saturday is events and hang out, Sunday is teardown and hang out. Notice I am pushing the hanging out. I would like this to be a relaxed event, if possible. Past fees for Robinson Lake park. Tents are $10/night. Sunshades do not count unless you are using them as a tent. Site fees are $5/person for entire weekend for anyone age 13 or older.
Under age 13 there is no site fee. All pets must be on leashes per park rules. We will start with the brief opening court around am followed by archery. There will then be a marshaling workshop followed by steel combat. The usual Arts/lunch/bocce combo. The Rapier and Shinai starting around 1:30ish and going no later than 4:30. There will be a
formal court followed by dinner. If anyone has any great desire to prepare a feast let me know. Otherwise bring your own food and plenty of it.
As this is going to be my last event as Duke and commander of the army I would have like to have done something wild and crazy but after Border War I just don't think I have it in me. I truly look forward to just being able to play the game again.
