People in the Empire of Adria study all aspects of historical relevance via re-creating the skills and activities in workshops, campouts, feasts, competitions, demonstrations, and other gatherings.

The Canton of Gaeth Fionn is a part of the Duchy of Alhambra in the Adrian Empire. The canton covers the western half of the mundane state of Montana, centrally located in the Flathead Valley. The Adrian Empire is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to the study and recreation of Western European culture between the years 1066 and 1603. Our members work to recreate the arts and skills of this era. We also include other cultures that commonly interacted with the Western Europeans during our time frame.

This House formed will focus on all things relating to what is known as the "VIKING" peoples. This will incorporate any person wanting to learn and to teach in the way of the "VIKINGS". Anyone joining this house shall follow ALL rules set forth by the Imperials of the Adrian Empire and the Local Alhambra Crowns. All House members will pledge growth in all disciplines within Adria. All House members pledge to help and to teach those in need and to share with others from their knowledge pool. All House members shall hold true to the Knighthood code of Honor and Chivalry EVEN IF a Knight they are not. This House is named "The House of the Nine Worlds" after the Norse Mythological Saga of a new beginning, which is fitting for a group such as us.

Adrian Empire, Inc. is a Rennaisance Re-enactment organization. Of the many parts to our events, a major portion of it gets dedicated to the art of combat. But the problem lies herein that many of the chapters fall into the same habit repeatedly using the same scenarios (aka Bridge Battles, Round Robins, or Elimination Tournaments). Though we are not without recourse in rectifying this problem. We have a host of Knight level combatants, Current and Past Ministers in the arts of combats. In addition, many members who just grab a hold of an idea and run with it to help solve this problem.
If you wish to help in solving this problem; and are the type to wish to share your ideas with your breathren in Adria then please post in here. Together we can create many more scenarios maybe even eventually compiling a supplemental manual for those who wish to read it.

(non-Adria Yahoo Group) The discussion group for the Schola Saint George, a School of Western martial arts focusing on the swordsmanship of Fiore dei Liberi, Royal Armouries MS I.33, and poleaxe of Talhoffer / Jeu de la Hache.
We teach students starting with an unarmoured longsword curriculum, encouraging them to develop their skills through dei Liberi's longsword system. Following this course, they further develop their skills by sparring and integrating the concepts encapsulated in Fiore's incroisade plays, working towards their Scholar rank. All students are strongly encouraged to study other arts, and to apply their arts in different competitive arenas such as the SCA, Adria, competitive fencing, and Eastern martial arts. In 2004, we added study groups for far-flung students who would like to follow our method and curriculem. See the Schola Saint George website for more details. We strive to create an environment that is fun, yet we work hard from the original texts, hoping to create talented swordsmen (and women!).

This is a Brewing Guild of the Adrian Empire. Our purpose is to teach the arts of the homebrew to any and those who wish to learn. (This Group is mostly defunct) The Bardic Guild Yahoo group was created as a supplement for The Bardic Guild. The Bardic Guild is currently associated with the Adrian Empire, Duchy of Albion, which is located in Las Vegas, Nevada, but we are open to those who would like to start chapters in other clubs, kingdoms, etc.
This group will be used for the discussion, sharing, and creation of Bardic works. While we specialize in historical recreations, we can discuss any time period of interest to the members. The three paths in The Bardic Guild are:
1) Written – This path covers any written pieces (Plays, poems, sheet music)
2) Music – This path covers all playing of musical instruments and singing
3) Acting – This path covers all forms of public performances of acting, or behind the scenes work on a stage performance.
Each of these paths have rankings within them ranging from Novice to Master.

We are interested in discussing accurate, historic: useage, methods of production, construction, decoration, etc.. Experimental Archaeology is highly encouraged. All topics are open as long as they are prior to the end of the Renaissance period (circa 1600 A.D. or so). Discussions of leather prior to the Medieval period are also acceptable, for example, The Ice Man and his leather ensemble or Roman caligae.

Adria-Iglesias
The sect of the Adrian Church known as Iglesia de los Soldatos are to be officially elevated from sect status to Church status. As such the Iglesia de los Soldatos will not be a part of the Church of Adria but will, in fact, be its own entity. And thus, the Church of the Soldiers was brought into its own existence. While still not a religious entity in any way, it provides a decidedly military angle to the pomp and circumstance it brings to Adria. For information on the Adrian Empire’s policy on religion, see the Bylaws, Article XIII.
A Message from the founder: Have you ever heard old soldiers talk of enemy soldiers with respect? I have and have found great honor in such an attitude. In our Empire, encouragement of this is nothing less that assurance of the Empire's survival. Our church venerates the brotherhood of soldiers. (non-Adria Yahoo Group) The Medieval Saints List is a read-only Saint-of-the-Day service for people who want to know more about the Legenda of the Saints and Beati of the Medieval and Renaissance Period to about 1600. The Saints featured on this list are persons (real, embellished, and of pious fiction) who either had a cultus during the Period, or who lived during the Period and may have been canonized later. There will also be announcements of Holy Days and annual celebrations of the Medieval and Renaissance Period.
I rely heavily on On-Line resources and I will document where I found my information. I have found the St. Patrick's Church, For All the Saints, New Advent's 1908 Catholic Encyclopedia, and the Catholic Community Forum's Patron Saints Pages especially helpful. In some cases I will edit down a story, and then give a reference for the full version or give additional references. Also on this site is a Links section with references to Saints Lives, and a Files section which has other information including Period Prayers many of which are in Latin and English and sometimes other languages as well.

Spice trade will be regulated by the guild members and if one is caught doing so they shall forfiet such said goods to our my most gracious Duke and be soundly punished for the dastardly act. Let no one enter our lands without the knowledge that the Spice Guild is here to protect the delicate palate of our most Gracious Duke. (Or any future Duchess of Alhambra)
The roll of the spice guild will be to further the understanding and study of medieval spices and their application in cooking and healing. Guild members will be responsible for educating the populace on the importance of spices in medieval life. The guild will aspire through research and study to produce as close as possible redacted recipes as to provide the populace with a true idea of what medieval food tasted like or what spices were used in healing and how they benefited the ill of health.
The guild will ensure fair competition between members and maintain high standards of quality As a guild member we will assist the aspriring cook in any way possible as to encourage further participation and understanding of the art of cooking and healing in the medieval age.

(non-Adria Yahoo Group) Clan Genji operates as a household within many reenactment clubs. We are primarilly SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) but we have shiro (chapters) in the ECS Adrian Empire. We also have a few groups in Nero and Amtgard. We are a Samurai and japanese household playing amongst these European history clubs. These clubs are the Nanbanjin, They accept us and we play as visitors in their lands. In the Genji camp you may find everything from Taiko drumming and Japanese court dance, to Shogi and Go, sake and plum wines. We also field a large army of Bushi warriors in the full armored, full contact combat. We are one of the two largest houses of Japan in the SCA and in the United States.
We are a historical reenactment society. It is not fantasy. You will not find magic users or elves here and while Ninja were historical, they did not run around in black pajamas during the day and no honorable samurai would be seen with them. Likewise we are not Ronin. A Ronin’s goal in life is to not be a ronin and find a house to serve…we are such a house.
