Alfalfa Keep in Elk, WA

13107 E Button Rd, Elk, WA 99009

From South of Spokane on I-90: Take the US-2/395 exit 281 (Division St.) and head north through Spokane.

After about 6 miles, you will go down a hill. Get into either of the right 2 lanes and follow the "Y" to the right, which takes you onto US Hwy-2.

You'll pass a large shopping center and some other business for another few miles and then the Hwy will take you north toward/past the Mt Spokane area.

After about 10 miles out of town, turn right onto Elk-Chattaroy Road. FYI - This is also the turn for the Spokane Waste Transfer Station. This is just north of mile marker 302.

Follow the Elk-Chattaroy road for 12.1 miles. There will be 2 places where the road looks like it Y's again, but the main road actually continues to the left each time. It's a beautiful drive but can be slick during cold weather, especially in the shady areas.

After about 12 miles, look on the right for the Blanchard road turn. There will be a road sign that it is coming up. This is a sweeping right curve just after the break of the hill and it is easy to miss. Turn right on Blanchard road for 1 mile.

The very next intersection is Conklin road, turn right onto the dirt road.

About 1/4 of a mile down, Alfalfa Keep is on the NE corner, so turn left onto Button road. The next left turn (past the elderberry bush) will bring you into the driveway of a large white shop beside an "adobe" trailer house with a green roof (but really, it's orange).

NOTE: A PDF map of this route is available by clicking ">here [1].

From north of Spokane on I-395: Go south on US-395 to Deer Park,WA.

Turn left off the HWY onto Crawford St. Continue through the 4-way stop and go East for approx 9 miles (Crawford St will become Deer Park-Milan Rd).

Cross over US-Hwy 2 (this area is known as Riverside and has a grocery store and a gas station) and follow the road down the hill aprox 1 mile to stop sign. Beware of steep and curvy spots. Shady areas can be slick in cold weather also.

Turn left at the stop sign at Elk-Milan Rd and follow for aprox 9 miles to another stop sign. Continue to be aware of steep and curvy spots. Some are blind corners are are tighter than you may realize.

Turn right at the stop sign on Elk-Chattaroy Rd and follow for about 2 miles to Blanchard Rd.

Turn left onto Blanchard Rd for 1 mile.

The very next intersection is Conklin Rd, turn right onto the dirt road.

About 1/4 of a mile down, Alfalfa Keep is on the NE corner, so turn left onto Button road. The next left turn (past the elderberry bush) will bring you into a driveway of a large white shop beside an "adobe" trailer house with a green roof (but really, it's orange).
