1840 ???, Kalispel MT

Directions to the Norse Irish War

Coming from Spokane, Moscow and Tri-Cities:

Take I-90 to St. Regis (Nice little resturaunt in the truck stop just off the freeway)Take Hwy 135 appx 20 miles to Hwy 200 junction (Trip is scenic mountains and river
watch for rocks and wildlife; Bighorn sheep, moose, deer, elk and bear can be seen.)At Hwy 200 intersection take left on Hwy 200 head thru Paradise how'd it get this name anyway?) continue west to intersection of Hwy 200 and Hwy 28. Take right on Hwy 28. (Subway there at the corner...if you continued straight rather than taking the right you end up in the center of downtown Plains population 994)
Follow Hwy 28 up Baker grade for 47 miles to Elmo at Hwy 93. It will seem like 600 miles but its really only 47 miles of narrow road. Take a left on Hwy 93 and head north to Kalispell some 36 miles. Big lake off to the side is Flathead lake(largest fresh water lake this side of the Mississippi hand dug by Norse immigrants who missed the sight of the sea...okay, okay but it could have been hand
dug.)Entering from the south you will go through the village of Lakeside.... six more miles to Kalispell folks on the same road. As you near Kalispell you will drop down a hill that has a flashing light continue north until you reach the traffic light at "Four Corners" Town Pump Conoco gas station on the left. Take left at the Town Pump on Hwy 317-Cemetary Road...(If you were to continue another .8 miles you would find the Rosaurs store if you need to
stock up.)Travel west on Cemetary Road for 9/10 of a mile to the "T"(A junkyard lies directly across from the T) At the "T" take a left...you will be on Airport road.... travel 3.2 miles to the 40mph sign and winding road sign...Patrick Creek Road is on the left...it is gravel and alittle washboardy at the beginning... travel arefully
as this is a mountain road..watch for chuck holes. You will notice a "dead end" sign. Ignore it...in Montana we use such devices as signs that mean nothing to confuse any invasion force that may come...the road does not dead end.
Travel two miles up the road staying on the main route until you reach a line of mail boxes and the road now "y"'s. Keep to the left and follow the Gaeth Fionn signs for 3.5 miles. About the time you will think your lost....you will be there. The driveway will be well
marked as will the route to it along the gravel road. Cell phones will work intermitently along the way. Grimm and Crystolla have allowed the use of their numbers here : Crystolla 250-9251 Grimm 250-5186

Coming across on Hwy 2 from Libby, Sandpoint Idaho and points west of Kalispell:

Hwy 2 into Libby(last gas station until you reach Kalispell 86 miles down the road...pretty much anyway). Highway 2 is a very scenic and beautiful drive however it is lined with suicidal deer...be careful you may even see some lying along the road listening for oncoming traffic to ambush. Remember if you are stopped by deer and captured along the way...do not give them any information beyond your name and rank. keep in mind that the Norse refuse to give into those who seek ransom for hostages or any demands made by deer which we fully recognize as terrorists and are currently at war with antlered species at this time....Arriving to Kalispell from the west on Hwy 2 the first light you come to is Meridian Road. Eisinger Chevrolet is on the right...Albertsons on right but across the intersection( food stop). At the intersection take a right on South Meridian...this will turn into Foys Lake Road without leaving the road.... follow it 7.3 miles.
You will pass Foys Lake on the right as you drive....then Herron Park (the original spot changed because of logging)..continue along the route as you drive through Foys Canyon (Not a real canyon) when your odometer hits 7.3....Patrick Creek road takes off to the right....as
above, ignore the " dead end" sign...the road doesnt end...okay, okay...its Montana remember...it doesnt need to make sense. Travel two miles up the road staying on the main route until you reach a line of mail boxes and the road now "y"'s. Keep to the left and follow the Gaeth Fionn signs for 3.5 miles. About the time you will
think your lost....you will be there. The driveway will be well marked as will the route to it along the gravel road. Cell phones will work intermitently along the way. Grimm and Crystolla have allowed the use of their numbers here : Crystolla 250-9251 Grimm 250-5186
